Pink

Pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. It relates to unconditional love and understanding, and the giving and receiving of nurturing. Pink is feminine and romantic, affectionate and intimate, thoughtful and caring. It tones down the physical passion of red replacing it with a gentle loving energy.

Pink is intuitive and insightful, showing tenderness and kindness with its empathy and sensitivity.

Pink is a sign of hope. It is a positive color inspiring warm and comforting feelings, a sense that everything will be okay.

Pink can signify good health, being ‘in the pink’, and success as in ‘everything’s rosy’.

Magenta

Magenta is a color of universal harmony and emotional balance. It is a color of cheerfulness, happiness, contentment and appreciation for what you have acquired and achieved. Most people feel more optimistic when in the company of magenta.

Magenta is the color of the non-conformist, the free spirit and assists you in turning your ambitions and desires into reality.

A strong and inspiring color, magenta can appear outrageous and shocking on one hand or innovative and imaginative on the other. It is creativity inspired by beauty.

Red

The color red is the color of energy, passion and action. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action. It signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination. It is also strong-willed and can give confidence to those who are shy or lacking in will power. Being the color of physical movement, the color red awakens our physical life force. This color is a warm and positive color associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive. It exudes a strong and powerful masculine energy.

It is often used to express love, as in Valentine’s Day, however it relates more to sexuality and lust, rather than love – love is expressed with pink. Red energizes Root Chakra.

In Eastern cultures such as China red is the color for good luck. In Indian culture it symbolizes purity.

Orange

The color orange radiates warmth and happiness. It offers emotional strength in difficult times. It helps us to bounce back from disappointments, assisting in recovery from grief.
It is optimistic and uplifting, rejuvenating our spirit.
Orange brings spontaneity and a positive outlook helping us to look on the bright side of life. With its enthusiasm for life, the color orange relates to adventure and risk-taking, inspiring physical confidence, competition and independence.
Orange aids in the assimilation of new ideas and frees the spirit of its limitations, giving us the freedom to be ourselves. At the same time it encourages self-respect and respect of others.

Yellow

Being the lightest hue of the spectrum, yellow is uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun.

Yellow inspires original thought and inquisitiveness. It is creative from a mental aspect, the color of new ideas, helping us to find new ways of doing things

Yellow is the best color to create enthusiasm for life and can awaken greater confidence and optimism. Yellow helps with decision making as it relates to clarity of thought and ideas, although it can often be impulsive. Yellow helps us focus, study and recall information, useful during exam time.

Green

Green is the color of balance and harmony. It is the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between the head and the heart. Green is also the color of growth, the color of spring, of renewal and rebirth. It renews and restores depleted energy.

Green is an emotionally positive color, giving us the ability to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally. It therefore relates to the counselor, the good listener, the social worker.

Green is the color of prosperity and abundance, of finance and material wealth. It relates to the business world, to real estate and property. Prosperity gives a feeling of safety to green.

Green promotes a love of nature, and a love of family, friends, pets and the home. It is the color of the garden lover, the home lover and the good.

It is the color of the Heart Chakra.

Blue

The color blue is one of trust, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved, quiet, and nostalgic. It exhibits an inner security and confidence. Blue relates to one-to-one communication.

Blue exudes peace and tranquility above everything else, promoting both physical and mental relaxation. It reduces stress, creating a sense of calmness, relaxation and order – we certainly feel a sense of calm if we lie on our backs and look into a bright blue cloudless sky. Turquoise

Turquoise helps to open the lines of communication between the heart and the spoken word. It presents as a friendly and happy color enjoying life. Turquoise controls and heals the emotions creating emotional balance and stability.

This is a color that recharges our spirits during times of mental stress and tiredness, alleviating feelings of loneliness. It is a great color to have around you, particularly in an emergency, as it helps with clear thinking and decision-making. It assists in the development of organizational and management skills. It influences rather than preaching and demanding.

Turquoise encourages inner healing through its ability to enhance empathy and caring. It heightens our intuitive ability and opens the door to spiritual growth. It is the color of the evolved soul.

Dark Blue/Indigo

The color indigo is the color of intuition and perception and is helpful in opening the third eye. It promotes deep concentration during times of introspection and meditation, helping you achieve deeper levels of consciousness.

Purple/Violet

This color relates to the imagination, creativity, and spirituality. It stimulates the imagination and inspires high ideals. It is an introspective color, allowing us to get in touch with our deeper thoughts.
